23 Jan ET-94 is in the house!
The California Science Center successfully lifted and mated ET-94, the 65,000 pound external tank, to the Solid Rocket Boosters (SRBs) already installed in the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center. The project is now well on its way to being the world’s only authentic, ready-to-launch space shuttle display. Huge congratulations to the entire team, including California Science Center staff, MATT (construction), ARUP (engineers), and Bragg Crane for pulling off another incredible milestone. And a special shout out to Chuck Null for the incredible drone photography!
Next up in #GoforStack: the move, lift, and mating of space shuttle Endeavour Monday night, January 29th. Look for the live feed of Endeavour’s final move and lift on California Science Center’s Youtube page.
