Evidence Design is proud to be the lead creative partner for the Samuel Oschin Air and Space Center, a new 170,000 square foot addition to the California Science Center (CSC) and home to space shuttle Endeavour. EVD is providing comprehensive design services for this ambitious project, including architectural programming in collaboration with ZGF Architects to inform the building’s sculptural envelope.

Surrounded by sweeping views of iconic air and spacecraft in soaring exhibition halls that converge at the base of the eighteen-story-high space shuttle Endeavour, guests will discover landmarks of flight’s evolution, investigate aerospace innovations, and join the excitement of future space exploration.

We are thrilled to see the galleries our team has spent years planning taking shape on the busy building site. Go For Stack, the complex, multi-phase process of moving and lifting each of the space shuttle components over the partially constructed wall, is well underway. Endeavour is on view in the Samuel Oschin Pavilion until December 31, 2023; in the new year it will move into its permanent home and the Shuttle Gallery will be completed around it. Meanwhile, Evidence Design and our partners are finalizing over 100 new exhibit experiences integrated with as many authentic artifacts to evoke awe, spark curiosity, and inspire science learning.
