Director of 3 Dimensional Design

Jack co-founded Evidence Design with his partner Shari Berman in 2000, and together they direct all of the company’s design and management.ᅠ Jack’s primary role is as project leader and director of architectural and three-dimensional design.


Jack earned a master’s degree in architecture from Columbia University and a bachelor’s degree in architecture, magna cum laude, from Virginia Polytechnic Institute, where he also pursued his interest in the history of science and astronomy.ᅠ In addition, Jack studied at the Architectural Association in London and at the University of Colorado’s School of Environmental Design.ᅠ He is a registered architect in the state of New York.ᅠ Jack was an associate and member of Ralph Appelbaum Associates for ten years, and previously worked for a variety of architecture and design firms in New York, Virginia, and London.


Notable projects include Science Storms, which received a THEA Outstanding Achievement Award and a Gold Medal for Best Museum Environment from Event Design; The Corning Museum of Glass (while at RAA), which earned a Bronze Design of the Decade award from the Industrial Designers Society of America; and the Holocaust Museum Houston (also for RAA), which was featured in Architecture and World Architecture magazines and received an Award of Excellence from Communication Arts, a Bronze IDEA Award from the Industrial Designers Society of America, and a Merit Award from the Art Directors Club of New York.
